Peniche, Portugal to host the 2009 Rip Curl Pro Search

The Rip Curl Pro Search - the world's only globally-mobile ASP World Tour surf event - will be held in Peniche, Portugal this October!

The wave of choice is called Supertubos (also known as the "European Pipeline"), which is a powerful A-frame barrel that handles waves up to 12-15ft (4-5m).

The event has had an amazing run of success over the past four years, representing in Reunion Island, Mexico, Chile and Bali... We're all psyched to see what Portugal delivers, so stay tuned for all the hype!
