The ‘Casa Surf Project,’ a collaboration between ten So Cal surf and skate brands, ten local designers, and La Casa Del Camino hotel in Laguna beach debuted last night! Rip Curl, along with 9 other action sports brands, including Billabong, Quiksilver, and Lost, paired up with designers to remodel their own room in the boutique hotel and immerse it in their own vibe and spirit.
Designer Debbie Nassetta of Roomscapes (http://www.roomscapes.net), paired with Rip Curl to incorporate different elements of the Brand. “The Search,” the driving force on which Rip Curl was created, is
represented in the exotic locales and surf destinations decorating the
walls; Rip Curl's elite surf team is represented in the imagery of 2007 World Champion Mick Fanning, 2x World Champion Steph Gilmore, and Alana Blanchard gracing the walls; and the chair, shower curtain, and pillows are constructed from a popular, new boardshort fabric and a fresh, fun girls print to represent our products of the Search.
Guests pick which room they’d like to stay in and a portion of the proceeds go to charity. Rip Curl’s charity of choice is Invisible Children, a cause that team rider Tom Curren, stands behind.
