'My Bikini' and 'Flash Bomb Plus' Win Big at 2013 SIMA Image Awards


COSTA MESA, CA. (Friday, February 14, 2014) -Rip Curl is extremely honored to be recognized last night at the SIMA (Surf Industry Manufacturers Association) Image Awards for Women's Marketing Campaign of the Year (My Bikini) and Wetsuit of the Year (Flash Bomb Plus).

Women's Marketing Campaign of the Year aims to honor the brand that "displayed a creative, cohesive, and consistent brand message in print, digital, and point-of-purchase materials." MY BIKINI showcased our best bikini styles with Alana Blanchard and the idyllic settings of Fiji. The combination worked, and Rip Curl was officially awarded "Women's Marketing Campaign of the Year".

Wetsuit of the Year aims to recognize the wetsuit that "featured the most exciting design, appeal, or innovation." This award was a true credit to the Rip Curl wetsuit department who took the success of the 2X award-winning Flash Bomb and worked diligently to improve it, hence creating the Flash Bomb Plus. This makes 3 years in a row of Rip Curl holding the honor of Wetsuit of the Year!
