Surfing Victoria has launched a new series of coaching clinics for women and girls taking place at beaches around the state this summer.

The Surf Her Way Surf Clinics supported by Rip Curl have been created to help women and girls who are beginner-intermediate surfers looking to improve and progress their surfing.

Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson said he was stoked the Surf Her Way movement was evolving and excited for the many women and girls who will benefit from the sessions.

“It’s amazing to be able to bring the Surf Her Way Clinics to life for this upcoming summer across the state” said Robertson. “Having Rip Curl on board the program means each participant walks away with a prize pack and voucher as well as some handy surfing tips. Progression is so satisfying at all levels, especially in a sport like surfing, and to be able to learn new skills in an inclusive, fun and friendly environment like these sessions, it’s just so conducive to progression and enjoyment."

There will be more than 20 sessions taking place over the next six months across Victorian beaches including Torquay, Thirteenth Beach, Ocean Grove and Inverloch. And each participant receives a Surf Her Way surf guide and Rip Curl pack.

"Girls and Women across the globe are dominating the line-up and the Surf Her Way program provides an opportunity for aspiring Victorian females to take part at a grass-roots level" said Shasta O'Loughlin, Environmental Social Governance Manager at Rip Curl.

"Rip Curl are stoked to be helping support more females to participate in surfing through this inclusive and supporting Surf Her Way program."

The Surf Her Way Surf Clinics supported by Rip Curl have partnered with Surfing Australia qualified coaches Allison O’Halloran, Ben and Len Considine, Tiffany Riggs and Elly Muir, who will be offering a tailored coaching approach and look forward to helping you improve your surfing experience.

Surf Her Way is an initiative by Surfing Victoria as part of Surfing Victoria’s strategy to make surfing more accessible and inclusive, with partnerships, pathways and programs to inspire, build connection, and ultimately spread the joy of surfing through improved surfing experiences.
