Rip Curl Euro Riders Take Over Munich - 24 Hours of Surfing & Fun
At the end of October, Rip Curl European team surfers like Lukas Skinner, Janina Zeitler, and Hans Odriozola took over the famous artificial wave in Munich.
While the Eisbach, the iconic wave located on a river in the heart of the city, has long attracted surfers, Munich now offers another unique experience: the O2 Surftown MUC.
Opened in the summer of 2024 and a partner of Rip Curl, this facility boasts the largest wave pool in Europe. Beginners and experts alike can surf waves suited to all levels.
On Sunday, October 20, during a cool but adrenaline-filled day, Rip Curl riders delivered spectacular maneuvers, with explosive airs and sharp turns, on this exceptional artificial wave. Among them were Lukas Skinner, Janina Zeitler, Justin Becret, Hans Odriozola, Matias Canhoto, Carla Morera de la Vall, Marley Benesenes-Masse, Paco Alonzo, and Daniele Mereu.
The day before, the surfers explored Munich and cheered on their local teammate, Janina Zeitler, at the Eisbach wave.
