Leilani McGonagle Wins 2016 North America WSL Pro Junior Season Title

17-year-old, Leilani McGongale, of Pavones, Costa Rica has not only just won the final WSL Pro Junior of the 2016 calendar year at Soup Bowls, Barbados, but the all-important win vaulted her to the North American Junior title!

Leilani took down an impressive field of North America’s top junior talent, as she cemented herself atop the season long leaderboard. With the victory, Leilani also qualified herself for the prestigious WSL World Juniors competition set to be held in Australia in early January.

The Rip Curl girls team was also highlighted by a 2nd place overall season finish for Alyssa Spencer, who also earned a spot in the WSL World Juniors. Brisa Hennessy will also be representing team Rip Curl at the World Juniors, as she took the season title for the Hawaii region. Way to go girls!
