Costa Mesa, CA (July 6, 2017): The Search continues for the top 16 and younger groms across the nation as the Rip Curl GromSearch presented by Banzai Bowls is heading back to Kewalo Basin, Oahu, Hawaii this Saturday, July 8th for the second of four regional tour stops.
The event will see 88 competitors ranging from across the Hawaiian Islands, Tahiti, as well as mainland USA surfers venturing over to compete for cash prizes, bragging rights, and a chance to qualify for the Rip Curl GromSearch National Final, set to be held at Steamer Lane, CA on October 6-7.
Condition’s are promising, this weekends Surfline forecast is calling for fun surf in the 2-3 ft+ range, which will be providing plenty of rippable surf for America’s top junior talent. With 85-degree sunny skies, and trade winds blowing, things are setting up to be a fantastic day of competition!
