This week, Rip Curl celebrated 50 years of perfect surf, international business, redefining product breakthroughs, wild characters, and The Search for the ultimate ride. Since the brand was born in the lineup of Bells Beach in 1969, Rip Curl has been constantly focused on being the ultimate surfing company. From having the best surf team in the industry, to the hardest-working, most passionate crew, we aim to show the world our love for surfing. To kick off 50 years of great success, we invited our crew, surf industry media, key retailer partners, and most notably our very own Rip Curl legends to gather for a night of reminiscing and celebration. With speeches from Rip Curl founders Brian Singer, Doug ‘Claw’ Warbrick, newly appointed Rip Curl North America president Dylan Slater, Rip Curl Group CEO Michael Daly, and appearances from Surfing World Champions Tom Curren, Barney Miller, and Peter ‘PT’ Townend, it was truly a night to remember.
