Night Surfing Returns to Anglet with Caraïbos Surf de Nuit Anglet presented by Rip Curl
Six mixed teams of surfers will compete, with their boards fitted with glowing LEDs, on the beach of the Chambre d’Amour in Anglet.
At a time when surfers would usually be heading home, the Chambre d’Amour beach in Anglet will light up. The Surf de Nuit returns this Friday, September 13th, for an exceptional evening in the heart of the Basque city.
Six mixed teams, each made up of two surfers, will compete to raise funds for a charity of their choice. Two qualifying rounds for both women and men will determine each team's total score. The top three teams will then advance to the final.
Off the water, large glowing balloons will light up the beach, while DJs will entertain the crowd for an unforgettable evening.
The 13-year-old Tahitian surfer, Tya Zebrowski, who recently won the QS 3000 in Newquay on August 31st, along with the young English prodigy Lukas Skinner, 16 years oll and currently ranked sixth in the European QS, will represent Team Rip Curl. If they win, the funds will be donated to our partners, Handi Surf.
Here are the six teams:
Team Caraibos: Maud Le Car and Joan Duru, supporting Save the Mermaid
Team Rip Curl: Tya Zebrowski & Lukas Skinner, supporting Handi Surf
Team Anglet: Pauline Ado & Romain Laulhe, supporting Summits of my Heart
