One of the brightest lights of a new generation of Australian surfers has just graduated to the Championship Tour after Rookie Caitlin Simmers decided to opt out of the 2022 CT.
Rip Curl, in conjunction with Surfing Victoria and Surfing NSW, have cancelled the two Rip Curl GromSearch events scheduled for the middle of January, due to the currently high COVID-19 concerns Nationally.
From Feb 18 – Feb 26 the the best Men & Women from Europe and Africa will kick off the 2023 competitive year with the first WSL QS 3000 in the dreamy right of Anchor Point, Taghazout Bay, Morocco.
The World Surf League & Rip curl are stoked to announce the confirmation of the 2022 Rip Curl Pro Search Taghazout Bay. This exciting Qualifying Series (QS) event will come back after a successful first edition in early 2020 before the global pandemic put a halt to surfing events worldwide.
Last month saw Rip Curl’s 21st annual Planet Day take place along the Surf Coast, working with local environmental groups located near our Torquay Head Office to clean up, protect and revegetate beach areas.
The motto, “leave it better than you found it” is a favourite among surfers, reminding every one of us to pick up litter at our local beaches, repair instead of discard, and tread with care wherever The Search takes us.
