Young surfers from across Europe showcased their talent in Anglet, aiming for a spot in the global final in Bali, scheduled for November.

The "Grommets" rose at dawn to compete in the highly anticipated European final of the Rip Curl GromSearch 2024. After a memorable evening with the Surf de Nuit in Anglet, where Team Rip Curl, represented by Tya Zebrowski and Lukas Skinner, dazzled the audience, the Chambre d’Amour spot once again hosted high-flying performances.

Under sunny skies and in modest waves, the young surfers who triumphed in their respective countries hit the waves from the early morning of Saturday, September 14th. Hailing from all over Europe, they proved to be the future of European surfing, delivering top-tier performances.

Lukas Skinner Wins the Oakley Grand Prize

Between heats, the surfers enjoyed the beautiful September day, catching a few waves or playing in the shorebreak while exploring the areas set up by our partners: Caraïbos for refreshments and Oakley for testing new gear.

The young prodigy Lukas Skinner won the prestigious Oakley Grand Prize, offering him the unique chance to attend the Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2025 in Peniche. He will also receive a training session with Tom Whitaker, former professional surfer and now Oakley's head coach, as well as a meeting with a member of Team Oakley.

See you in 2025 for the next edition of the European GromSearch!
