Surfing Legend Mason Ho to Continue On The Search
We’re proud to announce one of surfing’s most entertaining personalities and biggest style icons, Mason Ho, will continue living the Search after inking another four-year deal with Rip Curl.
The contract was signed in true Rip Curl fashion, right on the clifftop at the 2025 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, inside the exclusive Founders’ Box. With Rip Curl co-founders Doug “Claw” Warbrick and Brian Singer standing by as witnesses, the moment marked a full decade of Mason riding as part of the Rip Curl Crew.
“I was really excited,” Mason shared. “When I walked up, I was like, ‘Where are we going to sign it? Is there even a desk around here!?’ Then they opened this private, special booth, and when they opened the door, there was Claw and Brian right there. The two OGs of Rip Curl. The originators.”
“It was actually a really special feeling. They are legendary humans in my book, that have helped me throughout my career. So, for me being so excited to re-sign my contract and have my career with Rip Curl go longer, and to be with all the main guys, you know it felt really cool. I felt like a little kid again, like getting sponsored for the first time. I’ve never had a contract signing experience like that”.
In his time with Rip Curl, Mason has been on numerous Search trips to wild corners of the globe, competed in three Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational events, and won the Da Hui Backdoor Shootout, among many other achievements.
Son of Hawaiian surf legend Michael Ho, nephew to World Champion Derek Ho, and brother to former World Tour surfer Coco Ho, Mason’s bloodline runs deep in Hawaiian surfing history. But Mase has carved his own path. His fearless approach, playful creativity, and infectious stoke have made him a fan favourite worldwide.
From charging perfect Pipeline to threading sketchy, rock-laced barrels that most people wouldn’t even look at, Mason’s surfing is all about taking risks, chasing the unexpected, and having one helluva time doing it.
