FARM Rio and Rip Curl Reunite For Second Collaboration
Following the global success of their first collection, Rip Curl and Brazilian fashion house FARM Rio have reunited for a vibrant new collection inspired by a shared spirit of adventure and love of beach culture.
Bringing together Rip Curl's surf heritage with FARM Rio's unmistakable joy-filled prints, the new collection spans performance swimwear, wetsuits, apparel, and accessories. Bold botanical prints, cobalt blues, and playful colour combinations feature heavily throughout the collection, capturing the vibrant spirit of Brazil.
“It was amazing to see how well our first collection resonated with customers,” said Rip Curl’s Head of Women’s Design Tara Doyle. “We’re excited to bring that same energy and performance back, now refreshed with new prints and a vibrant new colour palette.”
To bring the collection to life, the campaign travelled to one of Brazil's most extraordinary natural phenomena: the Pororoca, a powerful tidal wave created where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Amazon River system.
Surfers Sophia Medina and Duda Cesar joined local talent from Northern Brazil to explore this unique landscape, where colourful wetsuits and vibrant prints stood out against the deep greens of the rainforest and the earthy waters of the Amazon. The result is a campaign that feels equal parts surf adventure and fashion, celebrating Rip Curl’s Live The Search philosophy and FARM Rio’s passion for self-expression and contemporary design.
“The meeting of freshwater and the ocean is the perfect metaphor for the partnership between FARM Rio and Rip Curl,” said Gabriel Oliveira, FARM Rio's Branding Director. “We went deep into the Amazon rainforest to share a Brazilian story the world deserves to know. That’s how the POROROCA SURF campaign came to life.”
