Notice of Financial Incentive

Summary: By joining Club Rip Curl, you may receive benefits such as discounts, special offers, and exclusive experiences in exchange for certain personal information. This notice explains how your data is used, your rights, and how to participate or withdraw.

Rip Curl, Inc., as part of the wider Rip Curl group of companies (We, Us, Our), operates a loyalty program called Club Rip Curl. As part of this program, We offer members certain benefits and special offers (giveaways, experiences, sweepstakes). Customers who sign up to Club Rip Curl, who populate their membership profile or who sign up to receive communications from us may receive discounts, rewards or other benefits, including but not limited to Free Shipping, credit for surfing adventures, annual birthday voucher. Benefits may be subject to change or discontinuation at any time. To receive certain benefits, you may be required to provide additional information or make qualifying purchases.

From 6 September 2026, Members will no longer be able to accrue points towards future purchases.  Points earned before that date remain available to redeem until 20 January 2027, after which any unredeemed points will expire.

Personal information will be collected from customers who sign up to and engage with Club Rip Curl. This personal information will include identifiers for the customer (for example contact information) as well as commercial information (for example transaction details or your purchase history). The information we collect may also include information that will allow us to better tailor our communications, offers, programs and services to the member. This information may be disclosed within the Rip Curl group of companies or to our service providers for the purpose of delivering services, benefits, rewards or for engaging in targeting advertising and other marketing activities.

Information about how personal information is collected and used is detailed in the Rip Curl Privacy Statement, and includes your contact Information, gender, date of birth, login details, feedback about your use of Apple Wallet or Google Pay, and details about your location.

Customers must review and accept the Club Rip Curl Terms and conditions before signing up.

A customer can opt out of receiving marketing information and communications at any time via their Member Account, or by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email they receive from Us. Opting out in this way will not result in termination of the Member’s Club Rip Curl Membership.

If a Customer requests that We delete any of the Customer’s Personal Information that is essential to providing the Customer with the financial incentive, We will not be able to provide the Customer with the benefits of Club Rip Curl. You may withdraw from Club Rip Curl at any time by visiting your Member Account page and selecting “Manage Membership” or contacting your local customer service team.

The rewards and benefits offered as part of the Club Rip Curl program are based on Our reasonable, but sole, determination of the estimated value of such information. This includes but is not limited to, taking account of the anticipated revenue generated from such information, the costs We incur in the collection, storage and use of this information in Our business and other factors relevant to estimating value for such information, as permitted by the CCPA. We calculate that value by reference to the aggregate value of the benefits We make available to Members under Club Rip Curl, which is one of the methods contemplated by the CCPA regulations. On that basis, We estimate the value of the personal information a Member provides to Us at approximately US$35per Member per year. The benefits We provide to Members are reasonably related to that estimated value.

We will not discriminate against a consumer for exercising their privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA, except as permitted by law (for example, by offering the incentive only to those who opt in). This notice is designed to be accessible to all consumers, including those with disabilities.
