Please review the information below for answers to any questions about the service, warranty, or repair of your Rip Curl product. If you can’t find what you need, our team will be happy to assist you. The details provided relate only to the express warranties we offer on specific products, as outlined below. Anything our technicians assess that falls under warranty will be repaired or a credit will be posted to you either via gift card or online store credit. To begin the assessment process, please contact us at us.servicecenter@ripcurl.com, and we’ll determine whether your product qualifies under warranty.

Wetsuits

We stand behind our products, which is why we have the best warranty in the industry. Please review the information below for any questions you may have regarding service, warranty or repairs of your Rip Curl product. If you're unable to obtain the information you're looking for, we'll be happy to assist you. The information below applies only to the express warranties that we choose to offer over certain products as set out below. Anything our technicians assess that falls under warranty will be repaired or a credit will be posted to you either via gift card or online store credit. If you are unsure if your wetsuit or watch is covered under our warranty program, please email an image of the product and a brief description of the issue to us.servicecenter@ripcurl.com.

Wetsuit Warranties:

  • 3 years on stitching.

This is any part of the suit that has been sewn together with thread.

  • 12 months on materials and construction.

For example, a broken zipper, inside tape falling off, and panels coming apart.

  • 12 months on Aquaban liquid tape.

This is the liquid rubber coating the covers the outside seams on some of our suits.

  • As of 12/1/25, wetsuits purchased at outlet stores come with a 6-month warranty on materials and 1 year on stitching.

Our warranties are valid from the date of purchase with a proof of purchase (a receipt or a credit/bank statement) from an authorized Rip Curl vendor. If your wetsuit is fixed by us, we will issue you a new 3-month warranty period that covers the repair that has been done.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING:

  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in materials or workmanship. For example, normal wear and tear, improper storage, fingernail cuts, failure to follow instructions, and fin cuts.
  • Use in commercial, rental, teaching or instructional programs or activities.
  • Wetsuits sold through an unauthorized Rip Curl vendor.
  • Wetsuits were repaired by anyone other than our technicians.

Wetsuit Care

  • Sun and UV rays damage the neoprene. Ensure you hang your wetsuit in the shade to dry.
  • After every surf, rinse your wetsuit in fresh water.
  • Hang your wetsuit on the provided wide hanger to maintain shape. Do not hang on wire hanger.
  • It's important that you treat your new Rip Curl wetsuit with care. Avoid sharp objects (especially fingernails) on the neoprene, especially the smoothie panels.

Watches

We stand behind our products, which is why we have the best warranty in the industry. Watch Warranties:

  • 2 years on Movement.

Movement is the part inside the watch that makes it work, but it does not include the Crown, sometimes called the Winder.

  • 2 years on Waterproof.

We recommend all watches be serviced, resealed and tested for water resistance every year as heat, temperature changes, salt and other elements will diminish waterproofness over time. Have this done at the Service Center and we will then issue a new warranty for another year.

  • 1 year on batteries.

- We can replace all batteries (excluding GPS and automatic watches) and at the same time will reseal and test the watch functions and water resistance. We will then issue a new one-year warranty on the new battery.
- Cost for battery changing will be given upon request.


THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING:
• The glass, band, and case.
• Damage caused by general wear and tears.
• Accidental Damage.
• Please remember that your Rip Curl Watch Warranty is voided if the watch is opened by anyone other than the Rip Curl Service Center.

PLEASE NOTE:
We recommend all watches be tested and resealed for water resistance every 2 years by our Service Center. We will then issue a new 1-year warranty on waterproofing. Rip Curl’s Service Center will replace the batteries and at the same time will reseal and test the watch functions and water resistance. We will then issue a new 1-year warranty on the new battery and all other repairs will be issued a new 3-month warranty. Our warranties are valid from the date of purchase with a proof of purchase (a receipt or a credit/bank statement) from an authorized Rip Curl vendor.

Swimwear

A warranty is not offered on any Rip Curl swimwear.

Returns & Exchanges

We accept return or exchange on swimwear when the returned product meets our returns policy and the below requirements.

  1. Product is unworn
  2. Hygiene sticker remains intact
  3. All swing tags are attached to garment

My Bikini Care Instructions

  • Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent.
  • Drip dry in the shade.
  • Rinse thoroughly after use.
  • Do not wring, soak or bleach the garment.
  • Do not leave rolled up wet.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
  • Be careful wearing your bikini in chlorinated water as it will damage your bikini. Ensure you rinse thoroughly after use.
  • Fake tanning products and some sunscreen lotions may damage swimwear. Take extra care in the application of these products & always ensure they completely dry before they come in contact with your swimsuit.
  • In order to remove trapped sand, gently run your fingernail over the dried swimwear fabric.
  • Avoid contact with rough surfaces as this may cause some pilling to the swimwear fabric.

Neoprene Swimwear Care

  • Do not wear your neoprene bikini in chlorinated water.
  • Store your neoprene bikini flat to ensure it doesn't crease.
Apparel

Service Centre offers a 3 month warranty for manufacturing faults, only if receipt provided and depending on condition.

Equipment

Backpacks, Wallets and Travel Accessories

1 Year from date of purchase on manufacturing defects

Rip Curl bags, wallets and travel accessories are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from original date of purchase when used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, or unreasonable use or neglect. Please keep your receipt, as proof of purchase is required.

Eyewear

2 Year from date of purchase on manufacturing defects

Your Rip Curl sunglasses warranty is void if the sunglasses have been tampered with or repaired by anyone other than the Rip Curl Service Centre. All Rip Curl sunglasses carry a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects.

What's not covered: Scratched lenses, accidental damage, general wear and tear, and lost or stolen sunglasses.

All warranties are void from accidental damage or wear and tear.

Footwear

The Rip Curl Service Centre offers a 3 month warranty for manufacturing faults, only if receipt provided and depending on product condition.

Mountainwear

Rip Curl warrants its outerwear products to be free of defects in material or workmanship.

  • Five year warranty on fabrics
  • Two year warranty on stitching, trims and zippers
  • Proof of purchase must be provided to claim under warranty
