Rip Curl GromSearch Qualifier Event #1 – Huntington Beach, CA
In just one week, the Rip Curl GromSearch season kicks off, and the “Race to the Ranch” is officially underway on the shores of Huntington Beach, CA.
In just one week, the Rip Curl GromSearch season kicks off, and the “Race to the Ranch” is officially underway on the shores of Huntington Beach, CA. The draw features 128 competitors hailing from continental USA, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and Indonesia, and is highlighted by names like Jackson Dorian, Zoe Benedetto, Dylan Wilcoxen, Lucas Senkbeil, and many more!
The winners from each division, the Boys 12U, Boys 14U, Boys 16U & Girls 16U will be awarded a coveted slot at the Rip Curl GromSearch National Final, to be held on December 17th at the Surf Ranch, in Lemoore, CA.
There is certainly a buzz in the air amongst competitors, given the fact that they will have a chance to compete at the prestigious Surf Ranch venue. For many, it will be their inaugural visit to the waters of Kelly Slater Wave Co’s mesmerizing fun-park, and for a lucky few, they will go into the event with previous experience and a perhaps an edge over their respective competition.
