Rip Curl Wins Big At The 2023 SBIA Awards
Celebrating Excellence in Surf & Boardsports, Rip Curl takes home 7 wins and 3 runners-up awards at the 12th annual Surf & Boardsports Industry Awards held in Sydney.
The SBIA Awards have always been a significant event in the surf and boardsports calendar. It's a time for the industry to unite, acknowledge outstanding achievements, and honor the individuals and brands that make a remarkable impact. This year, Rip Curl had every reason to celebrate as they walked away with an astounding 7 wins and 3 runners-up awards across a range of categories. The recognition is a testament to our crew’s commitment to excellence and the pivotal role the brand plays in shaping the surf and boardsports industry.
Held at the iconic Manly Pacific Hotel in Sydney, the event was attended by more than 100 industry leaders, including retailers, brand representatives, and long-standing industry veterans. One of the standout moments of the evening was when Rip Curl's Chief Customer Officer, Michael Scott, received the coveted 'Large Brand of the Year' award. In accepting the award, Michael took a moment to pay tribute to the brand's founders, Brian Singer and Doug 'Claw' Warbrick, sharing insights into their incredible contributions to the industry and how their vision continues to inspire Rip Curl's journey.
