The longest running event in competitive surfing returns to Bells Beach after a two year hiatus.

Today the World Surf League (WSL) and Rip Curl announced an extended partnership, with the iconic Australian surf brand coming onboard as the presenting partner of the Meo Pro Portugal.

72 of the finest junior surfers from around the country will battle it out in perfect waves at URBNSURF Melbourne for the prestigious title of GromSearch National Champion.

The 2022 Rip Curl WSL Finals will take place at Lower Trestles, California from September 8 - 16.

Rip Curl, in conjunction with Surfing Victoria and Surfing NSW, have cancelled the two Rip Curl GromSearch events scheduled for the middle of January, due to the currently high COVID-19 concerns Nationally.

Gabriel Medina and Carissa Moore have been crowned the 2021 WSL World Champions to conclude dominant seasons for both of the No. 1 ranked surfers.
