The Rip Curl #GromSearchOnline Competition Returns For 2023 in Australia and the United States.
Rip Curl team riders will pick wildcards from #GromSearchOnline entries to join the Rip Curl GromSearch National Finals in Australia and the United States.
Finalists from the Australian and the United States Rip Curl GromSearch series will be joined by wildcards from the #GromSearchOnline event to enjoy a day of perfect waves at URBNSURF or Palm Springs Surf Club.
The #GromSearchOnline is an online only event allowing Australian and United States residents to submit their surf clips via Instagram for their respective National Finals this October. Wildcard winners will be selected by a panel of elite Rip Curl professional athletes who are all former GromSearch finalists themselves, based on their favorite clips.

Each athlete will post a short Instagram clip explaining what they are looking for from the #GromSearchOnline entrants. They will then each choose 2 Wildcard winners from the #GromSearchOnline entries.
*Australian athletes are eligible to win a wildcard to the Australian Rip Curl GromSearch National Final only.
*United States of America athletes are eligible to win a wildcard to the United States of America Rip Curl GromSearch National Final only.

Entry: Post your best surf clips on Instagram. You must include the hashtag #GromSearchOnline. Tag @ripcurl with your name, age division and location - include beach & country.

Wildcards: Wildcards to be chosen by Professional Athletes and Rip Curl. 2 wildcards per age division, per country.
Each wildcard chosen in Australia gains entry to compete at the Rip Curl GromSearch National Final - URBNSURF Melbourne, Monday 23rd October, 2023.
Each wildcard chosen in the United States of America gains entry to compete at the Rip Curl GromSearch National Final - Palm Springs Surf Club, Sunday 21st October, 2023.
Entry Rules:
Cost: #GromSearchOnline is free to enter.
Division: You can only enter one age division. You must be the correct age to compete in that division - age cut-off is the same as the GromSearch event series in your respective region.
Video Clips: To increase your chances be sure to enter each clip separately, and in regular motion (no slow motion). We suggest that you aim to include the full completion in any clip entered, we don’t want the wildcard selectors to be guessing if you made it or not. Full waves, multiple turns or single turns will all be considered.

Competition Clips: Clips entered from previously surfed competitions from 2023 will be accepted.
Video Quality: Any camera quality is allowed; home video camcorder, iPhone, Surfline Camera Rewind, etc. However, clear quality is preferred.
Video Clip Deadline: Must be submitted on or before 10th October 2023 at 11:59pm AEST.
Video Clip Usage: By entering the #GromSearchOnline competition your video may be used across Rip Curl's social media accounts.
