Rip Curl Mirage3DP Boardshort Takes Home 2024 ISPO Award

Rip Curl’s Mirage3DP Boardshort has won the prestigious 2024 ISPO Award, recognizing outstanding achievements in the sporting goods industry. The award will be presented today at the ISPO Show in Munich, Germany.

Developed in collaboration with Moon Creative Lab and Bilio, the Mirage3DP Boardshort sets a new benchmark for innovation and sustainability in surf apparel.

The collaboration combines Rip Curl’s expertise in technical surf products, Moon Creative Lab’s innovative 3D printing materials and systems called ‘Variloom’, and Bilio’s expertise in complex soft goods design.

•      Internal grip inserts and 3D integrated mesh side panels have been designed for better ventilation and fit, resulting in superior comfort and in-water performance.
•       Rip Curl’s strategic collaboration with Moon Creative Lab aims to create a fully bespoke, 100% 3D-printed product, with the long-term goal of offering boardshorts that can be printed on demand, tailored to your exact measurements.
