Rip Curl x Surfrider Foundation | Santa Cruz Beach Cleanup

Rip Curl Surfrider Foundation

As an official Surfrider Coastal Defender, Rip Curl is firmly committed to working in conjunction with local surf communities to further protect the environment that we all cherish so much.

Graced with bluebird skies and a fresh, early season northwest swell, the Santa Cruz faithful turned up in droves to support the collaborative cleanup efforts hosted by Rip Curl and Surfrider Foundation’s Santa Cruz Chapter.

The aim: to tackle the infamous “East Side” streets and shores, keeping the area’s beaches and coastal waters as pristine as possible.

As an official Surfrider Coastal Defender, Rip Curl is firmly committed to working in conjunction with local surf communities to further protect the environment that we reside in, recreate amidst, and all cherish so much.

Following the beach cleanup, volunteers were welcomed back to Rip Curl’s Santa Cruz Flagship store, enjoying some pizza and a live parking lot performance by the famed local band, Nomalakadoja.

The musical act spurred plenty of dancing soles and furthered a feeling of unity upon a day well spent.

Thanks to all of those who came out and participated in the beach-street cleanup of east side Santa Cruz!
